Job Summary

Are you ready to be at the forefront of scaling our innovative product? As a Backend Engineer you will play a pivotal role on the design and implementation of architectures that will optimize our performance and return our results in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability applications and services.
  • Optimize our systems’ performance and speed, for a time-sensitive use case where files to be transferred are of substantial size.
  • Automate the creation of infrastructure to enable product scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and innovative solutions.
    Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and encourage knowledge sharing.
    Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.

Core Experience

  • Educational Background:
    +3 years of experience in backend development.
  • Industry-Specific Experience:
    Strong experience with backend architecture, including expertise in either Node.js, Python (Django) or Java.
  • Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Strong experience with API design and development.
Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and web servers (Apache, Nginx).
Solid understanding of Git and version control practices.
Business fluent in English.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of microservices architecture.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies.
Experience with unit and integration tests.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with continuous integration.
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
